BOOKHAM

HIGH STREET

PARTY

Saturday 31 July

2pm to 6pm

It's nearly time!

We are so excited to start sharing details of the party that we’re planning on Bookham High Street, on 31 July.

New details will be added below

Professor Strange

Professor Strange, the unique and time-travelling magician and entertainer, last seen on Britain’s Got Talent, will bring his strolling entertainment and close-up magic show to Bookham High Street throughout the event.

Pop along and find him in the grassy family picnic area opposite Harts

Millie Jane Franks

Some of you were lucky enough to see Millie’s ‘front door lockdown concert’ on Keswick Road during lockdown.

Last seen on ITV’s “Dress to Impress”, we’re super excited that professional singer/songer-writer Millie will be joining us on the 31st, taking to the live stage to share her music and get us in the mood.

Come early to ensure you don’t miss out!

Rampant Rooster Morris

Morris Dancing up and down Bookham High Street! Of course!

Come and join the Rampant Rooster Morris troop as they bring their live music and performance to our village centre. Guaranteed fun, and totally unique.

Obviously it will be really sunny and hot, so come to the High Street and enjoy a G&T whilst you soak up the atmosphere

Silent Pool will be making other drinks as well, and there’s lots of other options of course

BOOKHAM STREET PARTY

Why?

Because 2020 was rubbish.
And 2021 started pretty badly too.

We want to put a smile back into Bookham with a party right in the heart of the village.

Come and join us on 31 July

Where?

Bookham High Street
The road will be closed from 1pm to 7pm, and we can celebrate in the street in safety

‘Entry’ is free and you can just turn up. You know where to find us!

Who?

This is a party and you are ALL invited.

The event is hosted by local retailers and I Live In Bookham.com, and is in partnership with Mole Valley District Council.

Funding has been provided by the ‘Welcome Back Fund’

We have street food from local suppliers, as well as from your usual favourite local businesses – from pastry treats, to chocolate goodies, to hot dogs & burgers, to vegan food!

Local pubs, visiting drinks companies, bottle bars and soft drinks up and down the street.

Local bands will fill the street with music, and during the gaps Surrey Hills Radio will be on hand to take requests and give shout outs!

This is an event for the whole family. We know that happy children = happy parents, so there will be entertainment and games for the young at heart

This is an outdoor event, and has been fully COVID risk-assessed by Mole Valley District Council. Hand sanitiser stations will be up and down the high street and everything will be done in accordance with the relevant regulations on the day.
